Erste Fotoaufträge führten in den Nahen Osten, die Tabakanbau- gebiete der USA und nach Island; weitere Projekte von Verlagen und Zeitschriften zu Reisen nach Japan, Hawaii, Süd-Ost-Asien, Nepal und Australien.
